The Woodbridge Cruising Club

Today was the annual boat building competition at the cruising club. Entries could be powered by sail, wind or elastic bands. The standards were high. Mark and George worked hard yesterday to make ‘2 Pinta’ but it was clear that some participants had spent the whole winter building theirs. Plucky rescued those craft which could not make it across the Woodbridge boating lake and helped 2 Pinta to face the correct way. Sadly she was still on her first length of the course when all the older yachts had finished. Afterwards there was chilli con carne for lunch and a rather good apple crumble, enjoyed in the sunshine with a pint of beer. The kids, not fans of chilli beans, headed off to the chippy and the skate park.
